Creative services manager


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

+ To manage the trafficking of projects with regard to efficient project management of deliverables and be the primary contact for resource planning via all internal stakeholders, including personnel from the Creative, Studio, Production, Client Services, Planning and Finance departments.

+ To be instrumental in developing processes utilising our centric project management software, Paprika and to be involved in process' design, modification and implementation throughout the company, as and when, appropriate or directed by Commercial Manager.

+ To coordinate, manage and oversee output of the Creative Services deptartment, including:

o checking specification of artwork generation relating to any printed media (adverts, posters, flyers, invites, brochures, large format graphics, branded giveaways and any ad hoc items) where appropriate

o co-ordinate external service providers, such as photographers, photo libraries, illustrators, direct mailing houses, translation houses, radio production and repro houses obtaining cost effective quotations

o identifying critical timing paths for externally produced material and relaying that information to internal departments

+ To ensure and maintain the highest quality of service to internal stakeholders and external clients at all times, working closely with both groups, bringing new and innovative ideas to the teams when appropriate

+ To maintain processes and procedures to ensure all projects are kept to time and within budget. Monitor costs, manage and oversee creative resourcing and provide input into estimating and budgeting of our deliverables

+ To negotiate with and advise on preferred suppliers lists, ensuring the best possible terms for the Company and for our clients agreeing alongside the Commercial Manager Prompt Payment and Volume discounts where approriate

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Help to develop, implement and manage a Preferred Supplier's list in conjunction with the Finance team and to ensure all suppliers adhere to terms and conditions of procurement

2. Ensure internal procedures are followed to facilitate project management information share between departments and to be instrumental in implementing our central software, Paprika

3. Multitask several projects at any one time supporting all internal stakeholders at all stages of the Creative Service process

4. Help to plan resources on a daily, weekly and monthly basis utilising Paprika

5. Provide Creative Services' guidance for internal stakeholders and external clients, including presenting on the `Creative Services' process` to new joiners and/or internal teams

6. Provide advice as to the project management and delivery of marketing programmes and to input upon the strategy in development of our communication programmes via attendance at brainstorming and kick off meetings

7. Advocate any software or hardware developments to keep the company at the cutting edge of the industry

8. Support business development opportunities and wherever possible initiate

opportunities via internal stakeholders or external clients

PERSON SPECIFICATION

1. Evidence of extensive experience working in a comparable role, including a broad range of marketing and communication skills.

2. Ability to relate to key client personnel in a professional and credible fashion, as well as well developed personnel skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of staff to get the best out of everyone

3. Knowledge of industry standard software capabilities including Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark. Hands on knowledge Adobe Acrobat, MS Office (powerpoint/word/excel et al.) necessary

4. Knowledge and workings of photo shoots, TV, Radio and press advertising deliverables

5. A highly organised person with a methodical approach and attention to detail

6. Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across professional, operational and cultural boundaries as well as the ability to work on own initiative
