Mechanical Shift Engineer - Temp to Perm, London - Zone 1 |
| One of London’s leading conference and exhibition centres has an immediate requirement for a Multi Skilled Engineer, with a mechanical bias, to start on a temporary to permanent contract. The role will be divided over two main sites and will involve the provision of quality engineering services as well as developing an excellent relationship with the team, client and customers.An aim of the company is to achieve a team that is multi-skilled and operates across trades. On that basis mechanically qualified technicians will be expected to assist electrical technicians and carry out electrical works (and vice versa).Main Duties and Responsibilities - Liaise with the company’s personnel, organisers, exhibitors, contractors and visitors to assist in the smooth running of events.- To primarily provide a first class responsive service to events management and organisers, reactive mechanical / electrical works, and day to day engineering duties.- To carry out PPM when requested in support of the Central Technical Team.- To assist and support the central technical team when they attend the site to carry out specific duties.- To always be courteous and attentive with an excellent focus on customer service. - To be flexible in the type of work undertaken to ensure that an adaptable service is provided to all customers.- Accurately and legibly complete work dockets to agreed and specified timescales and write Special Reports as required.- To progress work dockets and ensure the completed dockets are returned in an efficient manner, and to agreed and specified timescales.- Keep in radio or telephone contact at all times with the Facilities Operations Supervisor. - Be fully conversant with statutory and site specific Health and Safety Regulations operated on the sites.
