| Our client are an award-winning urban regeneration specialist focused in London and the South East. Working in partnership with housing associations, local authorities and local residents, my client provide affordable social housing (new build) and have been doing so for over 5 years. With the recent creation of Intro Homes, my clients private development arm, my client can offer a unique one-stop shop in community regeneration. My client are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor who is capable if ensuring compliance with Main and Sub-Contract conditions in order to protect the business in terms of actions arising during the contract period. You will maintain tight controls and provide accurate and timely advice of risks on all issues affecting the contracts. Your main duties will include · Familiarising with contract documentation to ensure a working knowledge. · Ensuring the business interests are maintained as required with notification of all matters relating to contract. · Ensuring timely and accurate payments of subcontractors with supporting documentation. · Contribute in defining and developing procurement strategy. · Make available accurate up-to-date cost advice to estimating. · Provide active cost control advice, reporting and explaining any cost movement. · Maintain a working relationship with all staff working directly for you. · Ensure effective communication is maintained with all departments. Experience of working in the new build social housing sector would be beneficial but NOT a pre-requisite.
