| Description: This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of London's most prestigious mixed-use developers. Since 1987 my client have been delivering exceptional construction services that meet and exceed the expectations of their clients time and time again. Based in North West London they have a project portfolio that is second to none as they operate at the very top end of the exclusive luxury residential and commercial market. My client are currently looking for a candidate to take on the role of commercial director designate role. The ideal candidate will either be at a senior Quantity Surveyor level whom is ready to take the step up to the next mark or someone already at the commercial manager level. Title is not important here, it is the experience, attitude and work ethic which will be a determining factor. You will be part of a close-knit commercial management team with a genuine emphasis on teamwork. Experience within the D&B;/ New Build sector is absolutely crucial. This role will be someone with energy and drive in abundance. You must be looking for a challenging role in an exciting fast track environment. You will be well supported but you must have the ability to move things forward and act in a pro-active manner with a strong 'can do' attitude as you will be fast-tracked to take on the role of Commercial Director. Skills: -Minimum 15 years QS experience -Formal training background – preferably RICS qualified -Background – main contractor/developer with a broad base of experience including general refurbishment and fit-out -Good computer skills – spreadsheets and database -Full knowledge of the main JCT forms of contract and sub-contract -Good technical/construction knowledge -Confident and amenable manner -Well organised and capable of meeting strict deadlines -Excellent references essential -Ambitious with drive -Stable employment background essential -Ability to manage and develop small team consisting of -Purchaser & Surveying staff -Assist in preparation of tender submissions -Capable of achieving Director level -Wishes to join growing company with a projected turnover of GBP10 million in the year 2006 -Should be interested in very high quality refurbishment and fit out Benefits: For the right candidate my client are looking to pay an excellent salary of GBP70k + a competitive package on top.
