Wine bar manager manageress
One of London's top wine bars (www.winewharf.com), located in a lively area of Bankside just off the famous Borough Market is looking for an experienced individual who wants to take a next step in his/her career and run a unit on his/her own.
This position is only for serious and committed individuals, with at least two-year experience of managing a busy restaurant or bar.
Our bar has a very well established position among local residents and regular guests from the City, and is famous for it's 230 bin wine list, lot of which are served by glass, so a good wine knowledge is essential.
Responsibilities of the appointed person will be:
- Staffing: Recruitment, training, behaviour and discipline, payroll, tronc (recognising excellent performance), team motivation
- Finance: Keeping within company budgets, maintaining profit margins, exceeding targets, purchasing all stock, banking all takings, stock takes for all stock
- Development: Menu's development including creation of new wine list and food menu, and off-sales list.
- Events and reservations management, venue maintenance.
