Design engineer
We are looking for a Design Engineer to work in Johannesburg, South Africa. You will be dealing with clients and civil engineers and will be doing geotechnical proposals and designs; retaining structure, tailings dams, hydraulic designs, drainage solutions etc are the key areas. The ideal candidate would need at least 8-10 years working experience as well as, commercial skills.
The salary package is very negotiable. Package includes a car allowance, basic salary, medical aid, pension fund and an annual incentive bonus (up to four monthly cheques)
Basic salary around R 25 000 – R 35 000 per month – based on experience
Car allowance around R 8000 – R 9000 per month
We pay about 7.5 % of monthly salary to provident fund – about R 2000 – R 3000 pm
Medical aid we pay about R 1500 – R 2000 per month based on family size etc
The incentive scheme is based on maximum 4 monthly salary cheques for top performance (based on national sales etc) so could be from
R 70 000 – R 125 000 before tax. Tax is around 35-40% at that earnings level.
