Civil engineer position
My Client is the largest building and construction company in the UK and recently voted in the top 20 best companies to work for (Times, 2008). The company has been very successful in winning Transport related projects (Circa GBP200M this year). They are looking to expand their current teams, and recruit a civil structural engineer who wants to progress quickly in this field and work on unique projects In London. Although the engineering position is Transport/ Rail based, these include King Cross (Modernisation for 2012), DLR (platform extensions), LUL (step free access). But in this case they are looking for generic civil/building backgrounds (not necessarily rail specialists). Salaries are flexible to role and experience.
Duties and Experience:
·Main projects will included: Platform extensions, Track Realignment, Step free access programme, Cross Rail, Retail fit outs and the Olympics project.
·Ground Works
·Piling and Underpinning
·Setting out; the levels of the building
·Method Statement; regarding health and safety
·Levelling
·There are a number of civil engineering roles ranging from experienced engineering positions to graduates
