Our client takes pride in the audio of games such as Colin McRae Rally or the highly innovative Dance Factory. We need an enthusiastic audio programmer to work alongside some of the industry’s best programmers in the Central Technology group.
The client's next generation games going forward, from Colin McRae Rally to Operation Flashpoint. The team is made up of experienced engineers of all disciplines who work on many varied tasks. Central Tech gets hold of the latest technology first and requires the best people to work on solving some of the industry’s toughest problems. It also offers a friendly environment to work in, welcoming innovative thinking and enthusiasm.
You will work on a variety of cross-platform Audio modules being able to apply excellent acoustic knowledge and programming skills to these areas. These modules are used by the game teams and need to meet their high requirements.
Reporting to the Neon team lead and work closely with our Principal Audio Programmer, Audio department and game teams, there will be scope to push current game audio technology and work with a variety of 3rd parties. The audio team build code for the rest of the business and therefore attention to detail is vitally important.
We are looking for candidates with excellent acoustic and signal processing knowledge combined with strong programming skills with C/C++ experience. You will have sound knowledge of audio hardware architectures and low level coding would be desirable.
You will be educated to degree level or equivilent in Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Engineering (or suitable numerate course) and be able to demonstrate a level of experience within the games industry
