HONEYSUCKLE COTTAGE, idyllic Victorian terraced cottage ...
(Private Let, please no calls from agents, thanks).
Honeysuckle Cottage is located in a delightful enclave of Victorian artisan terraced cottages in a sweet conservation area in the heart of one of London's most desirable villages, Barnes.
A 3 minute walk from the River Thames, the cottage is in Thorne Passage, which is a 250 yard long pathway, not a road, so despite being in London, you feel really off the beaten track!
It's got a two bedrooms (one double 11.6 x 11, one single 11.9 x 6.6). Useful converted attic room with sloped ceilings ideally for study or guest accommodation, with eaves for additional storage. A very good sized double reception room (23 x 11.5), nice kitchen and a large bathroom (10.6 x 6.6) with shower. GCH.
Pretty front garden (40ft) with numerous shrubs and trees, and a quiet rear patio garden facing south, with good sized shed (also has rear access).
It's quirky, unique, nicely decorated and simply fitted. There's cooker, fridge, washing machine, curtains, wardrobes, but otherwise unfurnished.
Because of the style of build, both sets of stairs (going from ground floor, then again to the attic floor) are open sided, so it's not suitable for babies / toddlers.
Transport is extremely convenient, with 4 mins walk to Barnes Bridge station (Clapham Jct 9 mins, Waterloo 20 mins journey) and very frequent buses to Hammersmith tube, 10 mins ride away.
