Consultant (Technical)
A great opportunity with a progressive company who are looking for experienced technical consultants due to expansion.
Purpose of job: To visit customer sites to do new installations and upgrade existing customers. To provide pre and post sales technical support for Esteem's range of solutions. To work as part of the Professional Services Team, providing on-site support and guidance to customers and in-house functions as required.
Role requirements: Excellent technical skills in more than one of the following areas; Citrix (CCEA) - Access Suite (3.0 / 4.0 / 4.5), Citrix Access Gateway, Netscaler / Wanscaler. Microsoft (MCSE)- Vista Desktop, Active Directory 2003, Exchange 2003/2007, System Center (MOM / SMS / Softricity), Windows Server 2003 / Longhorn, ISA Server
- Office 2000 / 2003 / 2007, Other Microsoft Infrastructure Solutions. VMware & other virtualisation solutions - Excellent customer facing skills, Ability to work independently, Willingness to travel.
Main tasks, responsibilities:
Customer site visits: Perform on-site installations of company technology based solutions. Install and configure application software. Provide basic customer training at user and administration level. To provide Systems builds of windows based hardware and software for customers. To produce technical documentation
Pre and post sales support:
Attend customer sites for meetings to discuss their requirements (may involve overnight stays due to distance), Investigate their requirements, ensuring all relevant areas are explored. Provide technical support and assistance to the sales team. Help with preparation required for customer documentation and customer demonstrations. Assist personnel at seminars, promotional road shows and trade exhibition stands, if required.
Salary: Salary between £30-£35k + benefits
