PROJECT MANAGER
A great opportunity with a progressive company who are looking for experienced/proven Project Manager due to expansion.
PURPOSE OF JOB: To manage specified solutions delivery to agreed cost, schedule and quality criteria. To work as a key member of the Professional Services team and the company management team. Also, engage effectively with relevant third parties. To ensure that information is communicated appropriately to reporting staff, third parties and customers ensuring that project workloads are scheduled efficiently and assignments are managed effectively.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Excellent customer facing, communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal, management and organisational abilities. Experience of a recognised Project Management Methodology (eg Prince 2). Good technical and commercial awareness with a high emphasis on quality processes. Routine travel and overnight stays
MAIN TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES: Management accountabilities: Take an active role in representing PS generally at relevant forums and meetings. Manage Project workload, specifically, Pre-sales support (customer visits) and assessment of solution options (scoping, feasibility, costing, deliverables, completion criteria), The establishment of Project Management standards to encompass the project scope, definition, deliverables, risk management, financial goals and completion and customer sign off criteria. Be the PS authority for same for assigned projects, Documentation and reporting, Review performance of assigned staff, Post delivery analysis. Actively contribute to and maintain accreditation and training needs analyses in line with company strategy and staff career development plans. Work with other groups to ensure the effective and efficient assignment of PS staff (and / or contracted third parties) in line with priorities and demand placed on PS. Agree performance criteria for each assignment with IS Manager and review achievement regularly. Demonstrate integrity, flexibility and commitment in constantly re-appraising Project Management performance standards. Demonstrate leadership role in upholding company policies and procedures. Develop excellent working relationships with key partners, making sure the reputation of company is upheld at all times. Specifically, Third party partners Other Systems groups. As required, represent the IS Manager in nominated activities in his absence. Carry out other duties as assigned from time to time by the IS Manager.
Salary: Salary between £35-£45k + benefits
