Reporter
I am currently recruiting for an investment bank in the heart of London. This is a rare opportunity to join as a reporter. You must be fluent in German and English and have an understanding of Financial Services.
Key responsibilities:
Contact building
Meet and develop regular contact with senior managers throughout the Bank. Use these contacts to stay abreast of the key issues and challenges affecting the various business areas.
Develop contacts across all levels of the hierarchy to gain a broader understanding of the effectiveness of the intranet in communicating internally.
News research
Understand the internal communications strategy and keep constantly up to date with all internal information sources to aid delivery of content relevant to that strategy.
Monitor external news sources to ensure that whenever possible the internal audience hears of important developments in as timely a manner as possible.
Writing
Understand the different writing techniques needed for on- and off-line reporting.
Write clear, accurate and concise reporting that contributes towards overall internal communications strategies.
Key skills
Excellent journalistic skills, gained either through qualifications or significant practical experience
Good verbal communication and listening skills
Confidence to deal with people at all levels of the business
Assertive and proactive
Flexible
Team-minded
Fluency in German and English
Financial services background advantageous
