Assistant Project Manager


This brand new role is a fantastic opportunity for a talented graduate in an analytical/numerate discipline with great potential and an interest in projects to join the growing and increasingly strategic business systems team reporting to the head of special projects.

You will provide input and support to drive strategic business initiatives, the system/process improvements analysis process, identify, record and resolve project risks and issues and deliver the effective management of project changes i.e. changes to scope, project resources etc. In addition, you will provide support that drives the effective and efficient management of approved projects to successful completion and proactively ensure successful implementation of projects as well as maintain the central programme and project files.

We are looking for someone who can play a supportive role to their manager but is also able to act independently when required. Process and systems orientated, you will also be able to deal with internal customers in a friendly, professional, service driven way.

You will have a very strong orientation towards achieving results and a driving sense of urgency to set and realise goals; a definite aptitude for keeping a wide variety of tasks on stream; a preference for initiating and setting your own direction; and a predisposition towards persuasiveness, able to sell your own ideas to others in a diplomatic manner.
