Experienced SEN Teacher Required
This city centre school caters for pupils with a number of special needs - autism, ADHD and BESD, and is currently seeking a good teacher with experience and the right personality.
Ideally, they would prefer a teacher with experience working within this type of environment in an SEN school, but they are also keen to consider candidates who are interested in learning more about SEN and have the right temprament - patience, empathy, a sense of humour and who are genuinely wanting to help these pupils succeed.
The pupils are aged between 11 - 16, and you will be teaching a variety of subjects across the curriculum - in depth knowledge will not be required of each subject, but flexibility is key for the school as the routine can sometimes change at the drop of a hat.
The role is full time and will cover a six month period. You should have UK QTS (NQT's will definately be considered) or have at least 6 months' experience of working in the UK.
Please note that you will need to supply two professional child based references and you will be required to undertake a CRB check (if you do not already hold one) before you commence employment.
