SEN Teaching Assistant required
This Birmingham based behavioural support centre caters for key stage 3 and 4 pupils who have been excluded or are at risk from being excluded from mainstream schools.
The main aim for them is to re-intergrate the children back into mainstream schools if possible, and if not, to provide a good quality education. Each class has a maximum of 6-7 pupils, with a teacher and at least one teaching assistant to support.
There are clear discipline policies in place and the staff are extremely supportive of new comers.
The right candidate will have a lot of patience, empathy with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, and have a brilliant sense of humour - as well as having a good background of working with pupils of secondary age.
You should have at least 6 months experience working within an educational facility, and have at least 6 months UK experience, coupled with the right to work within the UK.
Please note that you will need to supply two professional child based references and you will be required to undertake a CRB check (if you do not already hold one) before you commence employment.
