Background:
A challenging role has arisen within the actuarial team based in Kent with a particular focus on Group Income Protection.
The role:
You will be responsible for:
- Development of premium structures for new products, particularly Group Income Protection.
- Developing financial models to prepare business cases for new products.
- Regular monitoring of the experience, including reviewing premiums, of particular products and business portfolios e.g. Group Income Protection.
- Develop financial forecasting models to measure long term profitability, in particular for new business opportunities.
- Communicating clearly and concisely the business implications of the recommendations made, in particular to other teams. E.g. sales, marketing, pricing and finance.
- Providing actuarial analysis and advice to other areas of the business.
Skills, knowledge and behaviour:
The jobholder will need to have excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills with a high degree of commercial awareness and flexibility to achieve deadlines in conjunction with good PC modelling skills.
Experience of Group Income Protection is essential and ideally the candidate will be about half way through the actuarial exams although those who have given up the exams will also be considered.
Salary: Up to £40,000
