The Company:
Our client, a leading international company, is currently recruiting for a fluent speaker of Arabic to work in the capacity of Administrator/Librarian on a 3 month temporary contract within their London City Offices.
The Role:
- To provide accurate and professional research articles plus daily market overview reports for senior management
- To catalogue all company literature, newspapers, magazines, brochures, reference material and books
- To maintain filing and archive systems in the Library, ensuring that lists and inventories are accurate and up to date
- To undertake all administrative needs of the Library, including sorting and actioning mail, developing and updating data on spreadsheets, and ordering of literature
- To manage the budgets of the library in line with company procedures
- To provide an ad-hoc information service as requested using the various PC-based information systems
- To provide Arabic translation services when required
Candidate Profile:
A minimum standard of education of an A level equivalent will be required together with the possession of a specific Library or information management related qualification and an advanced level of competence on PC applications, the internet and various Library systems.
1. The ability to communicate with all levels of staff and deal effectively with both UK and overseas staff and be aware of investment related terminology where possible
2. It is essential to have a minimum of 3-4 years experience providing a service-orientated role, which is based on information provision, planning, organising and filing, preferably in a Library, Information Resource or Helpdesk environment.
3. Good organisational skills coupled with good interpersonal skills and a strong sense of professionalism are required
4. Fluent Arabic, both spoken and written.
Salary/Additional Information:
£10 per hour including hourly holiday pay
