Valuer / Valuation Surveyor / Assistant Valuation Surveyor
A North London based Local Authority client has an immediate need for an experienced Valuation Surveyor / Assistant Valuation Surveyor / Valuer with previous residential Building Surveying experience to work within their Building Valuations Team as a Valuer.Candidate must be suitably qualified and have at least 2 years Valuation experience on Residential property and have carried out Valuations in relation to Right to Buy sales.SPECIFIC DUTIESTo undertake inspections and valuations in relation to Right-to-Buy sales. Inspection, valuation, negotiation and agreement of terms for sale, lease or purchase of smaller sites, houses or business premisesInspection, valuation and agreement of terms for sale or purchase under CPO powers. Arranging for, the sale or purchase of land and property by private treaty, tender or auctionHelp with valuation and estimates relating to property including Fire insurance, annual Housing stock revaluation and annual capital valuations. Carry out feasibility studies and other smaller projects, including reviews of the use of Council property, as required. When required, contribute to the Council and apos;s Asset Management Plan (AMP) undertaking smaller projects as required involving liaison with client services. Contribute to the provision of information for inclusion in any AMP reports Act on behalf of the Service in support of other staff undertaking inspection, valuation, feasibility studies and vetting of initial project applications. Support colleagues in attendance at court, representing the Council in relation to any matters affecting the property port folioNegotiate and present schedules of condition, disrepair and dilapidation as required. To prepare and negotiate terms for Wayleaves, Easements, Licences and other rights over land. Exercise Health and Safety responsibilities as required by legislation and the Council in relation to the property portfolioThis project is expected to run for approximately 9 months and will be weekly paid (hourly contract basis)
