Building Surveyor, Project Surveyor
An Essex based Hospital , NHS Trust has an immediate need for an experience Building Surveyor to undertake an ongoing programme of Project Surveying works covering major repairs and refurbishments to wards, hallways, repainting programmes, toilet block refurbs, laboratories, stores and ancilliary buildings etc.Working within their Estates team, the successful Building Surveyor will be required to carry out both pre and post works building surveys, liaise with Management and Staff to minimise disruption, manage the Health and Safety aspects of refurbishing buildings in occupation, supervise contractors works etc.The Building Surveyor will have a recognised Building Surveying qualification and at least 5 years experience as a Building Surveyor within a Public Sector type environment (ideally as a Building Surveyor working on Hiospital schemes).The Building Surveyor will need to visit other building within the local area which are occupied by the Trust so the use of a vehicle would be an advantage (but not essential).The Building Surveyor will be required to work within a team of other Building Surveyors but also be able to work independantly when required.The Building Surveyor will be required to work on schemes ranging in value from GBP 20,000 upto GBP 3M and be familiar with the management of specialist sub contractors and trades staff.This Building Surveying role is expected to run for about 9 month to a year.BBL are a Technical Recruitment Consultancy specialising in the placement of Building Surveyors, Maintenance Surveyors, Project Surveyors, Building Surveying Assistants, Chartered Building Surveyors and Specialist Building Surveying services to Public Sector and end user clients.
