SEN Teacher for PRU
A SEN teacher is required who has interest in Maths, Technology and Science for a PRU unit in Somerset.
A primary or secondary trained teacher is fine, you do not need to be a subject specialist, but you will need to have an interest in these subjects. More importantly we need a teacher who is interested in children and child development and can develop their own motivating procedures. You will be teaching KS3 (Vertical Teaching) and there will be approximately 4 students in your class along with a Teaching Assistant. The unit has a capacity for 12 children, but there is currently only 10 attending.
Previous experience with EBD is an advantage but not essential as it is more important to get the right teacher for the job.
You must be fully qualified (QTS or foreign equivalent) with relevant experience and be able to provide 2 teaching referees/references.
Applicants will need to have a current CRB disclosure for the UK or be willing to obtain one.
