Operations Director
A Operations Director is required to take operational control of operations for a medium sized contractor. The contractor was established in 1880 and is a longstanding successful business. Now part of a £200 million group, they have financial backing and stability. They recruited an ambitious Managing Director in 2006 and are now looking for an Operations Director to help drive the company forward.
The company will focus on three key sectors: residential, education and leisure. Project values between £1million and £15million. Specialist in both design and build and traditional contracts.
The company goal is to be a company of choice for its staff and clients project teams, and to work tirelessly in continually improving its service delivery.
Person / Role Specification
This role will suit a driven and focused individual with a no nonsense approach. You must be confident, straight talking, and a natural leader.
The Operations Director will be responsible for the delivery of projects on site.
-Recruit and manage your team of Project and Site Managers.
-Compile programmes and ensure they are monitored.
-Chair meetings with your management teams, design teams and commercial teams.
-Be a key client interface and will be a strong representative for the business.
- Be an interface with all external interfaces, including consultancies and institutions such as the HSE.
The role will suit a proactive leader with an interest in new methods of construction.
Experience
You will be currently working in a similar role and will have experience of running a number of site teams simultaneously while reporting at executive level. You must have directorship or senior management experience.
This is a challenging role but has excellent rewards.
Salary: £70,000 + Package
