Hi,My name is Brett Eastwood, I am 32 years of age and have over seven years experience working as a carer for many clients with varying conditions and/or disabilities.Some of these include dementia, old age, alzheimers, spinal injury (3 years with a quadriplegic client) including use of and insertion of urethral catheter and suppositories, I’ve had experience with multiple sclerosis, arthrogriposis (severe arthritis), brain damage, cerebral palsy, stroke victim (with whome I did exercise routines to keep his right side leg, arm and neck supple and able to go through as fuller range of motion as possible), haemeanopia (the loss of vision to either the left or right side of both eyes) asperges syndrome and down syndrome.I have been trained in Personal Care, Manual Handling, Hoist Operation, Basic Food Hygiene, Medication and Basic First Aid. I've also got good common sense!I am based in Wantage, Oxforshire where I am working as a carer for a lady on a two week rota, I am ideally looking for a job that can rotate with this one. I'm looking for something for the long term as I'm saving for a property.I am English speaking, have a drivers license, am a confident driver and have my own car.I am easy going, flexible, hard working, can cook to a high standard, am very reliable, honest, friendly and fun!. I enjoy going to the gym, reading, running, cinema and learning new skills/trying new hobbies or sports. I have a laptop, am computer literate, and keep in touch with family and friends regularly. I am a non-smoker.I am from sunny Cape Town and have right of abode in the UK due to my parents being naturalized, while I am waiting for my British Citizenship to be processed.
