LIVE IN OR OUT SECOND CHEF POSITION
The Hare and Hounds is a popular food destination pub situated not far off the A4 in West London, Osterley. The business has recently been redeveloped to a high quality contemporary pub and restaurant driving a higher food turnover using fresh produce and interesting specials with great scope for flair and originality. We now have an opportunity for a Second Chef to join and strengthen our team.
The successful applicant will have either held the position of Sous or Second Chef before, or be a keen and skilled Senior Chef De Partie with a drive to progress. A background in a high turnover, ‘cook to order' kitchen will be an advantage, though those with any Pub, Restaurant or Hotel experience will be considered.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be involved in kitchen organisation, ordering, and stock control and also able to have an input in menu design & daily specials. People Management skills are a necessity as you will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen in the Chefs absence. You will enjoy and succeed in this role if you are inspired by the opportunity to create quality, fresh, homemade dishes, and thrive under the pressure of a busy kitchen. The role will involve all other kitchen duties as required. Applicants must possess a basic food hygiene certificate.
Working 5 days out of 7, you will be rewarded for your hard work with a competitive salary dependant on skills and experience and whether you require accommodation (live in may be possible).
