Job Overview:
We are looking for an Assistant Coffee Shop Manager to work in our family run coffee shop with café or comparable experience as well as supervisory experience, who works well as a team member in a diverse environment. The Ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate considerable experience at Management level within a high volume establishment. You must thrive on working in a busy environment which is face paced and challenging at times.
Candidates with at least 2 years experience at supervisory level or assistant Manager Level are invited to apply for this position.
Working Hours Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm
No weekends
Duties and Responsibilities:
Management – Day to day running of the coffee shop including stock control and supervising the team.
Dealing with daily catering orders, for the outside business meetings, candidate must have an eye for detail.
Experience – Serving food and drink, basic hygiene as well as a cashier and barista. Past employment with a hotel, restaurant, bar or café is essential as is experience of supervising a team in this environment.
The role involves the day-to-day operation of a busy café operation

Skills / Qualifications / Experience Required:
* Excellent Customer Service Skills– A pleasant manner and excellent communication is vital. Your friendliness will win and keep new customers.
* Team work, be able to work well in a team.

The Candidate must fully understand the importance of food safety guidelines regarding the correct dating and labeling of all food products to ensure that food is always cooked, stored and used safely, and to supervise others to ensure all the procedures are followed at all times.
Excellent written & spoken English
Holding a food hygiene certificate and or a recognized qualification in catering would be advantageous.
