We have an exciting opportunity to join this progressive company, as we are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Property Accountant. This is a diverse and varied role that offers scope for development for the right candidate.
The Property & Corporate Services accounting team based in the Firm's London office is responsible for the monthly management accounting and control as regards the Firm's property portfolio, and its corporate services directorate.
Your main responsibilities will include management of P&CS; accounting team; preparation & reporting of monthly management information for the P&CS; directorate; preparation of annual plans & projections for the directorate; accounting support for the Firm's Estate Management team; dealing with ad hoc matters as these arise e.g. property invoice & cost queries.
Whilst primarily based in London, the role is likely to initially involve regular and frequent visits to the firm's Milton Keynes office.
The successful applicant will have a recognised accountancy qualification e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) and be able to clearly demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of property-specific matters, ideally gained via experience in a similar role.
In addition, you will demonstrate a good understanding of the key drivers and commercial issues which impact on the Firm; good computer knowledge and skills, especially Excel; experience of SAP (advantageous); experience of team management; be questioning of current processes and be able to highlight areas of weakness or risk; a proactive approach; strong technical and analytical skills with an ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines;
This role will suit an individual with strong excel and analytical skills looking to develop further with the ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships with all levels of staff and partners.
