Working for a London NHS Trust, our client is seeking a Medical PA to support the Cardiology team. This is a temporary role that is due to start ASAP W/C 11/2/08 and will be for at least 3 months.
Job duties involve:
* Audio Typing
* Communicating with patients, members of the public and staff in a friendly, professional and courteous manner
* Maintaining and updating consultant's theatre diary and notifying relevant staff of any clinician planned leave, within agreed time scales
* Providing high quality personal assistant service to medical staff
* Maintained a leave diary for clinical team
* Providing initial advice to patients and/or relatives and referred to the appropriate person
* Arranging and attended meetings for the clinical team
* Supporting other medical secretaries and PAs with relevant queries
* Maintaining up to date and accurate filing systems – paper and IT
* Making necessary arrangements, as directed, for patient's (e.g. follow up appointments)
* Assisted with surveys/audits
* Handling incoming mail
Candidates must have proven experience in the above duties, or come from a medical background or studied a medical subject. All candidates must show a passion for working in the NHS.
