Volkswagen Golf Mk2 driver 1990 spares or repair - GBP125

Hi all,
I've a G reg VW Mk 2 golf driver 1.6 in pale, metalic blue colour for sale. It has 107000 miles on the clock.
The tax and MOT are both up at the end of this month (Feb) and as I've just bought a van, I don't need the car anymore so it has to go.
I've had it for 2 years and during this time it's done the same thing repeatedly - stalled! I suspect some type of fuel starvation as last summer I had the carb cleaned out and the garage told me there were foreign particles in it. It was fine for about 8 months then the problem gradually came back.
Basically these bits, rust possibly, must be coming from the petrol tank or something like that. Either way, I wouldn't advise driving it on a motorway since it can stall whilst driving along forcing you to pull over. Give it a 5 minute rest and it runs fine again until the next time. It's highly frustrating since otherwise, it's a pretty decent car.
Therefore, I'd say either another carb cleanout to last for another few months, or spares for breaking. The interior is in pretty good nick and lights etc are fine too. Bodywork is generally as you'd expect for the age though there is a dent in the offside front wing and on the same side, the doors have had dents knocked back out. And the back doors have odd handles without the opening lever (both sides the same) so you have to open the back doors from inside. The boot area is pretty scratched from the previous owner and the sunroof has a rusty spot on the offside but otherwise works fine.
I'm looking for around GBP175.
