Position Title: Software Support Specialist
Location: London
Department: Information Technology
POSITION SUMMARY
The software support specialist will support and trouble-shoot Wolverine's custom real-time
trading and reporting systems. The cutting-edge electronic trading platform displays real-time
data and performs order routing, order execution, position management, risk analysis, and profit
and loss calculations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide technical support for trading applications
* Maintain production trading systems, including databases, transaction servers, gateways, and
web servers
* Set-up and maintain in-house and third-party tools used to manage the stability of servers
and software
* Perform certification of new trading exchange links, including FIX and other protocols
* Gather user requirements and “bug” reports to assist software engineers with application
enhancements
QUALIFICATIONS
* Desire to deliver excellent customer support by trouble-shooting and administering
proprietary applications
* Interest in, and understanding of, trading industry concepts and terminology
* Software engineering background is preferred
* Knowledge of C# and strong SQL skills are preferred
* Knowledge of the FIX protocol
* Knowledge of scripting and/or programming language concepts
* Knowledge of any of the following is preferred: SQL, Automate, NetIQ Appmanager, LUA,
Python, regular expressions, PHP, or DOS
* Excellent problem solving abilities
* Strong communication skills and a desire to work in a team environment
