Solar thermal systems design engineer
My client is a leading supplier and installer of solar hot water heating systems, for both commercial and domestic projects. Established for 30 years they have developed an unrivalled expertise in solar technology, and is now recognised as one of the foremost suppliers of solar energy systems in the UK and last year won the award for 'installer of the year' at the South East Renewables Energy Awards. They boast an impressive portfolio of projects and due to continued growth they are looking for a Solar Thermal Systems Design Engineer to join their busy team.
The Role:
· You will be expected to design, plan and cost domestic and commercial solar hot working systems, working alongside the technical manager.
· To ensure implementation is in accordance with project requirements, providing optimum technical solutions which can be implemented profitably.
· To provide a technical point of contact for project manager and installation personnel.
· To produce operating manuals for installed systems.
The successful applicant will have a HND or engineering degree and good working knowledge and application of computer skills.
Proficiency in CAD is essential, Experience of steam and or Mechanical/ Electrical systems. You will need a good knowledge of engineering Health and Safety and environmental legislation and ability to apply.
