General catering assistants
digby trout restaurants provide a catering service at the Natural History Museum, South Kensington, SW7.
We are currently seeking hard-working, general catering assistants, to work full-time in the our busy restaurants. You should be reliable, have attained a good standard of spoken English and be available to work a flexible daytime rota. We are open 7 days a week, so weekend working is obligatory.
An immediate start is available - initially on a temporary contract, which will run until August 31st. More permanent contracts may be offered to the best candidates at the end of the Summer. GBP5.52/hour. Benefits include training and promotion opportunities.
Previous experience in catering, in a service job, or as a cash register operator a distinct advantage. You will need to demonstrate an ability to cheefully stock display counters and fridges, to serve food and drink to the museum visitors and to keep the restaurants clean & tidy at all times. You may also be obliged to sell ice-cream from a bike in the gardens. A reasonable standard of fitness is required to move the bikes and to carry stock as required.
Good communication, personal presentation & hygiene standards essential.
