A London Borough in West London is currently looking for a Teenage Pregnancy Project Assistant for a minimum of 3 months
Key responsibilities
This post provides administrative support to the Teenage Pregnancy Team and supports the various local initiatives that are delivered through partnership working across agencies including the Local Authority, Primary Care Trust, Education, Voluntary and Community Sector
To provide administrative support for the teenage pregnancy strategy and projects
To liaise verbally and in writing with partners, in relation to the teenage pregnancy strategy and projects
To be committed to and work within the Council's Equal Opportunities policies.
To undertake other such duties as may be reasonably determined from time to time, by the Tackling Teenage Pregnancy Co-ordinator.
To manage the office, e.g. ordering of stationery, developing administration systems, arranging office equipment maintenance etc.
To provide administrative support for funding applications, annual reports and other documents related to the Tackling Teenage Pregnancy Strategy.
To provide administrative support to the re-integration officer, in relation to the delivery of Sex & Relationships Education in school and youth settings. This will include the compilation of evaluations, creation of invoices, liaison with sessional workers and schools and support with organising resources.
To carry out general administrative tasks such as filing, distributing post, collating absence information, answering phones, responding to emails etc.
To support the strategy co-ordinator to organise board meetings, sub-group meetings, away days and other ad hoc meetings including organising venues, travel arrangements, booking refreshments, minute taking, distributing minutes and relevant information to all members of groups.
In conjunction with the strategy co-ordinator, collate financial information for the preparation of reports. This would include downloading information from the internal finance system, collating expenditure and income information, maintaining budget spreadsheets, processing invoices and monitoring grant expenditure.
To provide administrative support for the training strategy for local workers. This will include organising training venues, refreshments, mailing out invites, ensuring the timely distribution of training details and compiling evaluations.
To provide administrative support for the condom distribution scheme, liaising with local workers, and ordering resources including condoms and health promotion materials, such as leaflets and posters.
To provide administrative support for the communication strategy, including filing, ordering and stocktaking resources on a regular basis, and updating mailing lists and organising mail outs.
To support teenage parent caseworkers by collating sensitive and confidential data relating to teenage parents in a timely manner
Essential Requirements
Must have worked in a similar environment with a good administrative background
Degree Educated ideally
Able to start on the 28th of April ideally
Excellent communication skills
Good on Word and Excel
