This is a popular ultrasonic zoom lens for all Canon film and digital EOS cameras including the newer 450D and 40D. It makes for a great all purpose/walking around and portrait lens especially with the long range of 105mm. It also does close up macro shots well since it can focus down to 0.48m/1.6ft. I have used it with both film and digital cameras with great results. I'm upgrading to a 24-70mm L lens to do more night photography and selling some equipment to help pay the cost.
The lens is in like new condition and free of any scratches on the glass or body. The zoom is smooth and quiet (due to the ultrasonic motor), and both the auto and manual focus work like new. It comes with both front and rear Canon caps. I have always used a 58mm UV filter on it, but removed it for the pictures.
