An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented and highly motivated individual to join a leading maintenance and engineering team in this award-winning hotel as DEPUTY CHIEF ENGINEER at CITY INN Westminster.
The flagship CITY INN Westminster opened in 2004 and occupies a prime site in the heart of Westminster, minutes from the Tate Britain and Houses Parliament. In addition to 460 contemporary guest rooms, suites and the fantastic Sky Lounge, the award winning CITY INN Westminster boasts a successful meetings and events operation, fantastic cocktail bar Millbank Lounge and the outstanding, critically acclaimed destination restaurant CITY CAFé.
As DEPUTY CHIEF ENGINEER you will have a hands-on role in leading the Engineering function at this outstanding new build hotel. You will work closely with the Property Manager in delivering high quality maintenance initiatives, coordinating planned maintenance programmes and providing effective solutions to ensure the building is maintained to optimum condition and safety standards. With a strong operational focus you will manage the day to day operation of the department, liaising with contractors, prioritising activities and undertaking quality and service checks.
You will be an excellent communicator with proven supervisory experience and the ability to motivate and develop a team with a focus on service delivery. You will have proven experience within maintenance engineering and be fully conversant with all relevant legislative requirements and best practice. A bias in M&E; would be beneficial for this role although this is not essential and you will ideally be working within a similar role or at a supervisory level within a four or five star hotel or similar quality driven environment.
