Toolmaker / Trainer - Tunisia - cGBP28k - GBP30k + Accommodation
We manufacturer high volume injection moulded products for the worldwide market and have an urgent requirement for an Injection Mould Toolmaker / Trainer to train our operatives in Tunisa. Initially this will be for a 1 years contract which may lead to a permanent position being offered.
You will be managing and training a new toolroom team. All current staff require improvement in both skills and quality of work.
You will oversee the manufacture, maintenance, modification, and repair of multi-cavity mould tools and ensure that the toolroom carries out full repairs on mould tools. This will require skills including E.D.M. (spark eroding), grinding, using opti-dress and general tool-room machining.
You will identify all areas where there are skills gaps and setting up and running a skills improvement programme to ensure that all toolmakers work towards being able to do the following:
* Manufacture of injection mould tools.
* Repairing, modifying and making new mould tools.
* Occasional manufacture of complicated automatic assembly machine parts.
* Working to component drawings and tooling drawings.
* Multi-cavity tooling.
* Working within the ISO 9001 standard.
* Work safely.
* Create a cohesive team of toolmakers.
* Plus any other reasonable request.
You will be an apprentice served toolmaker educated to Degree or BTEC HND/C in Engineering
Must have completed full apprenticeship in mould toolmaking with hands on man management skills
You will be computer Literate, numerate and Conversational French would be an advantage.
