Instrumental and electrical technician
A vacancy has risen for an Instrument & Electrical technician to join the Maintenance team at Dagenham.
The successful candidate will provide high quality Instumental & Electrical maintenance to the Manufacturing and Filling areas, ensuring that all activities are undertaken in a safe and efficient manner.
You will liaise with all levels of personnel to find root causes for equipment failure and return the equipment to the correct operating level. You will actively promote equipment performance and reliability, customer service and Health & Safety whilst following site rules. You must be able to work on your own initiative and unsupervised.
Key Duties:
* Core responsibility for the completion of routine instrument calibrations.
* Carry out routine and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing and filling machines as well as services and utilities equipment supporting the Dagenham business operations.
* Involvement in specifying spares, and the servicing of equipment.
* I & E Fault finding and involvement in continuous improvement projects.
* You will be a member of the callout team for out of hours maintenance cover.
* Enter data into the instrument calibration database.
* Provide cover for the I & E technicians in all areas in their absence or in the event of heavy workload.
Key Requirements:
* Ability to work alone and effectively within a team
* Ability to investigate root causes of equipment failures
* Familiarisation with the latest electrical regulations
* Willingness to undertake further training to acquire additional skills as required to support operations
Qualifications:
* A recognised electrical qualification at HNC or equivalent would be an advantage.
* Maintenance apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) within a manufacturing environment
