Our Client specialises in fixed-price design and build and two stage tender contracts throughout the United Kingdom. Projects include high-rise residential, commercial and mixed use schemes for wide range of clients including most national house builders. Currently they are looking for a Mechanical Buyer to be based in their London Office.
Role:
* Ensuring that effective cost management is achieved
* Manage and close out tender and contract negotiations.
* Ensure selection conforms to corporate strategy.
* Lead supply chain activity in operational procurement.
* Develop an ongoing supply chain strategy to reduce cost and risk
* Ideally will be experienced in supply chain management with professional membership.
* Suitable candidates will be fully competent in tender and contract procurement practice and processes.
* Demonstrate the ability to operate as part of a team delivering operational procurement. You must also be committed to performance improvement.
* As a competent negotiator you will demonstrate strong contractual and commercial knowledge and will be firmly focused on key relationship management.
* Duties include processing orders, obtaining mechanical quotations from wholesalers, liaising with site staff with regard to material required
* Communication and negotiation skills as well as excellent oral and written English are a must.
