Our Client is a leading firm of engineering consultants providing a comprehensive range of services in conjunction with the built environment. Active in all sectors of the construction market, the company undertakes new buildings, refurbishment schemes in the public and private sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
After seven years of significant growth in turnover and profitability the Facilities Management Group requires a Business Development Manager to build on the historical success and further raise the profile of the FM Group. The Business Development Manager will be required to maintain existing customer relationships and by developing relationships with new clients, to further build on the FM Group's current market penetration. He/ she will work in close collaboration with the Director and Divisional Director, FM Group to identify and nurture opportunities to develop existing and new FM business streams in the UK, Europe and the United Arab Emirates.
Duties include:
* Development of client relationships with the existing FM Group customers and the exploration of opportunities for future business
* Identifying countries or areas outside of The Company's current coverage and formulate plans for growth
* Update lists of clients and manager relationships with both new and existing clients.
* Following up on leads.
* Being the continuous link with clients from initial sale of services through to operational delivery.
* Compiling consultancy agreements based on Company's Facilities Management terms and conditions.
* Developing new procedures for preparation of fee proposals
Requirements:
* Minimum OND/HNC Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar
* The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in developing new business of at least GBP500K per annum both from existing clients and new prospects together with profit and loss responsibility for a business unit. The candidate should also have operational experience of recruiting and building teams to deliver FM Consultancy, contracting or other service provider service.
